Platinum Service

Thinking about upgrading your rail experience? Platinum Service offers guests the most luxurious option of travel aboard the Great Southern Railways trains. If having space makes you feel more comfortable then it’s definitely worth upgrading your experience to the Platinum Service. This is also a great option for those with low mobility.

Both Double and Twin cabins offer an abundance of space with the cabin being almost double the size of a Gold Twin Cabin. By day, the cabin provides a private lounge with deluxe lounge seating (see image below), a table and two ottomans. By night, the lounges convert into a comfortable bedroom with either a double bed or twin single beds. Enjoy having your own full-size en suite equipped with shower, vanity with cupboard space, toilet and complimentary Australian bathroom amenities.

If you do choose to upgrade your cabin, you’ll find yourself truly immersed in the landscapes rushing past outside thanks to picture windows offering views from both sides of the train.

To truly indulge, we recommend ordering a freshly prepared continental breakfast to be served in the comforts of your cabin. You’ll also receive a larger luggage allowance of 90kg.

One of the more exclusive features of the Platinum Service is having access to the luxurious Platinum Club (image below). This features a deluxe bar, lounge and fully flexible dining area to make the most of. The menu consists of the finest regional food for your delight including tasty Top End barramundi and juicy Kangaroo, saltbush and wild rosella flower. All these delicious meals are complemented with a range of all-inclusive wines, beers and non-alcoholic beverages.
