Kaboom! All around Australia, travel bucket lists are being blown to smithereens by a world-first cruise, rail and touring package.

This adventure of epic proportions will smash your entire bucket list: 1. Alaska cruise, rail and touring 2. Western Canada 3. Hawaii 4. The South Pacific including French Polynesia 5. New Zealand and 6. A South Eastern Australia cruise home to Adelaide with port calls in Sydney, Melbourne, Phillip Island, Port Lincoln, and Kangaroo Island. The package is exclusive to Holidays of Australia and the World who have curated this world-first trans-continental cruise. And being the rail & sail experts, they’ve included a return, day-long train journey on the ‘Direct-to-the-Wilderness’ rail service that takes you deep into the Alaskan interior where you’ll stay in wilderness lodges and appreciate first hand just why Alaska is called the Great Land.

The vast unspoilt wilderness confounds the imagination; lush forests and meadows brimming with wildflowers, towering snow-capped mountains flanked by open tundra. You may be rendered speechless as your jaw constantly drops from the epic landscapes, all viewed from the train’s wrap-around glass ceilings and open-air platforms.

As you glide through, Alaska’s heartland will steal your heart. Your frontier spirit will be piqued playing “Spot the Denali Big 5” (moose, bears, Dall sheep, caribou and wolves) in Denali National Park. The train returns you to the Golden Princess® in Anchorage for seven-nights including scenic cruising of Hubbard Glacier and port calls at Glacier Bay National Park, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan. A four-night ground tour of Western Canada including Vancouver Island, Victoria and Whistler follows.

Then, back onboard, your transcontinental cruise begins, first stop: sophisticated San Francisco. A few days at sea will help you recharge and indulge as you steam for Hawaii, visiting the Big Island of Hawaii plus Honolulu on Oahu, before setting sail for exotic French Polynesia including one of the world’s most romantic destinations, Bora Bora with its shimmering lagoons and tiny isles. Onwards to the paradise of Tahiti (Papeete) and its cascading waterfalls and picture postcard deserted beaches. Next, Pago Pago in American Samoa, one of the most dramatic harbours of the South Pacific – the region renowned for amazing landscapes. Think dramatic mountain peaks that encircle a deep harbour. You’ll cross the International Date Line before sailing onto New Zealand with port calls at Auckland, the seaside city of Tauranga and stunning Napier. You won’t miss the natural wonders of the land of the long white cloud as you enjoy awe-struck scenic cruising of Marlborough Sounds on the northern tip of the South Island.

  1. I am very interested in your Anchorage, Alaska to Adelaide with Golden Princess-51 nights package. However we are unable to do this in 2019 as we already have holidays booked. We were wondering if this same package will be available in 2020 as we would definitely like to go. Also the same for “Majestic Princess Australia and Asia with Hong Kong andMacau-24 nights in 2020. Please can you let us know if these 2 holiday packages will be available in 2020? We think your holiday packages are fantastic and would like to go on some. We have done a lot of cruising with the Pricess line and really enjoyed them. Thank you for your wonderful holiday packages.
    Yours sincerely, Dianne Pocklington

    1. Hi Dianne, Thank you for taking the time to comment on our article. We are currently in the process of planning our 2020 product and are looking into these 2 holidays to see what we can offer. One of our experienced consultants will be in touch with you to discuss these options. Kind regards, Andrew @ Holidays of Australia & the World
